NCC to Hold Advanced Nurse Aide Classes

Forty-hour course qualifies nurse aides to work in advanced settings.

Bethlehem, PA (02/17/2021) — Certified nurse aides who wish to work in advanced care settings such as medical/surgical, pre-and post-operative, rehabilitation, pediatrics, psychiatric, and obstetrics will be trained to do so at an Advanced Nurse Aide class, Wednesdays, March 10 - May 12, 6:00 - 10:00 p.m., at the Fowler Family Southside Center, 511 E. Third Street, Bethlehem. The course includes classroom and lab work.

Participants will learn complex patient skills such as phlebotomy, point of care testing, bladder scans, EKGs, catheter removal, and assisting licensed nursing personal with sterile technique situations.

A mandatory orientation session will be held, Wednesday, March 3, 6 - 7 p.m.
