NCC to Hold Online Dental Anesthesia Update

Course will re-familiarize dental hygienists with giving anesthesia.

Bethlehem, PA (02/18/2021) — Northampton Community College (NCC) will hold an online course to re-familiarize registered dental hygienists with the solutions, instruments and techniques to administer safe, effective anesthesia within the scope of their practice.

The class will be held on Saturday, March 6, 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. Computer with microphone and camera required in order to participant in the program.

To be eligible to apply for a biennial permit renewal, a three-hour minimum of the hygienist's twenty hours of continuing education must be related to the administration of local anesthetics.
